Anyone know who is famous for saying that line? Hint: there are three of them!

Today, we’re going to discuss the titles of two dramas from London Korean Drama Screenings #6: Three Musketeers (삼총사) & Healer (힐러).

We’ll give you the meaning of the titles, and some examples of how to use them.

삼총사 (The Three Musketeers)

The word 삼총사 means “trio” or “threesome” in Korean. It’s used to describe a group of three people. It’s made up of three separate syllables that mean different things:

삼 = three

총 = total

사 = ending used for titles of people (비행사, 의사, etc.)

Here are some examples of how you can use them in sentences.

1. 그들은 자주 삼총사처럼 시간을 보내요

They spend so much time together they are like a trio.

2. 우리는 매일 만나니까 사람들이 삼총사라고 해요

We meet everyday so people say we are a trio.

힐러 (Healer)

The word “힐러” is the same as “healer” in English, as in “spiritual healer”. It sounds the same as the English word, but it’s not typically used in the Korean language. It would sound quite strange if you were using it outside of the context of the drama!
