After DramaFever’s dive into original series with Heirs and Tomorrow Cantabile, we were waiting for competitor Viki to make a move.

And it did, as on September 16th it revealed “Dramaworld“, a 10-episode comedy-drama set in Los Angeles and Seoul, to be coproduced with Jetavana Entertainment (China), EnterMedia Contents (the company behind a few of the U.S. remakes of K-Dramas) and Third Culture Content.

The show follows 20-year-old college student and K-Drama fangirl Claire Duncan (Liv Hewson) whom, with a touch of magic, through the screen of her smartphone, gets transported into her favorite show with her bias, Joon Park (Sean Dulake, Athena:Goddess of War).  Twilight‘s Justin Chon appears as Claire’s newfound friend and guide through Dramaworld. Famous cameos will include Super Junior’s Choi Si-won and Hyde Jekyll Me‘s Han Ji-min.

The webdrama is expected to be released exclusively to Viki in 2016, and two more seasons are said to be in the pipeline already.
