If you attended our events last year, you will know that we had a delicious Korean barbecue dinner at Yijo near Finchley Road (the same event actually advertised in an article recently published on Korea.net). They also joined us for the Daehan Drama Awards and offered a free cooking class for the lucky first prize winner of our voting competition.

First good news from them is that they will be open on Mondays (6-10pm) and Saturdays for lunch (12-3pm) when no cooking classes are taking place. As winter days are suddenly getting colder in London, that’s more opportunities to warm your stomach with Korean delights.

Besides the special offer for lunch (starting from £5.99), the restaurant will also organize special menus for Valentine’s Day and the upcoming Lunar New Year celebration.

And last, but not the least, the cooking classes will be back from February. To celebrate the New Year, Yijo is offering 15% off when you book 2 tickets directly with them (same class, or 2 different classes), by email or phone, quoting ‘HAPPY2015’.

Confirmed dates for the Kimchi cooking class are Saturday 14th February (11am-1.30pm) and Saturday 14th March (11am-1.30pm) and for the Tofu cooking class are Saturday 28th February (11am-1pm) and Saturday 28th March (11am-1pm). Yijo also offers vouchers valid for one year which could make a great gift. All of those are priced £40.

We may also take part in the cookery school, more news to follow…
